RSM 2000 have announced the availability of two off-the-shelf “plugins” that will simplify the integration of RSM’s ecommerce card payment gateway (CPWeb) with popular website and blog hosting platform WordPress®.
The first of RSM 2000’s plugins works with the WooCommerce® plugin system and the second is a ‘native’ WordPress® plugin that works in WordPress sites without WooCommerce®
Currently many household name charities and businesses use RSM 2000’s CPWeb system to process card payments and up until now each client that used WordPress has had to develop their own plugin. Now RSM 2000’s clients will be able to use the new plugin to simplify the integration of their website and RSM 2000’s payment system.
RSM 2000 hope that the plugin will both simplify and reduce the cost of developing websites for their clients, particularly smaller charities for whom WordPress offers a simple website management system ideal for organisations without big IT departments.
WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS). It is most associated with blogging but supports other types of web content which can be enhanced through plugins such as WooCommerce for various types of retail stores as well as other plugins for mailing lists and forums and media galleries. Wikipedia claims that WordPress is used by more than 60 million websites, including 33.6% of the top 10 million websites as of April 2019 and that WordPress is the most popular website management system in use.
WooCommerce is an open-source e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for online merchants to help them to easily convert their WordPress website into different types of store, service or retail experience, managing stock, bookings, customer service and experience.
RSM 2000’s CPWeb WordPress and WooCommerce plugins sit alongside a range of existing and new plugins that are available to integrate CPWeb with popular web hosting systems such as WordPress and Drupal®.
