BMS World Mission delighted with test of contactless terminal
BMS World Mission were pleased with the results of their pilot of a contactless donation box from RSM 2000.
The terminal was rented for just one evening on 12th May for an event in a Peterborough church.
“The response from donors to the contactless terminal was very positive.” Said Ben Drabble, Funding Team Leader at BMS World Mission. “We got more than we expected and we could have done with another one. We’ve used similar systems, but the advantage with the RSM 2000 one was the ability to take the same donation amount again and again without having to retype the amount.”
The pilot used RSM 2000’s EventPay merchant ID which means the charity avoided the hassle and expense of having to obtain a new merchant ID or (for smaller charities) having to apply for one. The system is supplied with a mobile phone preloaded with an app to control the terminal and pre-configured by RSM 2000 to talk to the best available WiFi or mobile signal for the venue.
