Managing Director – Nigel Walters Nigel worked for BP for 13 years in various assignments latterly responsible for the implementation of BP’s Retail Automation Strategy in North West Europe, which at the time was one of the most advanced payment systems platforms developed and implemented worldwide. Since forming SM2000 Ltd Nigel has been the figurehead for the development of new initiatives and services developed by the group on-behalf of clients, which have significantly reduced client costs or developed enhanced income streams for the client. Nigel is married with three daughters
and when not pre-occupied with work or family life, Nigel is keen on motor
sport, classic cars and motor sailing. After graduating he joined Omron as a credit card terminal programmer, working on ISO8583 and APACS30/50 solutions, and the National EftPOS project. In the latter role, he gained experience of PIN-pad design and encryption techniques. He was the company's BABT Approval Liasion Engineer and managed the Japanese factory's BABT approval using ISO9000 procedures. Mark then joined Micrelec, subsequently Meggitt Petroleum Systems, as Software Team Leader for their Base24 SPDH product for Denmark. He subsequently held a number of roles within Micrelec including Customer Projects Manager, Product Manager, and Software Development Manager. After Meggitt, Mark joined Schlumberger where he was responsible for introducing the FuelPOS system to the UK. He managed the Software, Training, and Technical Support departments and gained useful knowledge of Schlumberger's other forecourt and fuel dispensing products. Throughout his career, Mark has been actively involved in payment industry developments and was Deputy Chairman of the APACS29/50 Development Committee. |

Operations Director – Ron
Wales His last 5 years with BP saw him
spearheading the training through a major retail automation programme, with
eventual responsibility for both training and implementation. Lyn has been Company Secretary and Finance Director since the group’s formation in 1994, where she controls all aspects of the group’s company finances. Lyn also has overall responsibility for the Electronic Payment Services and was the driving force behind RSM2000 Ltd’s achievement of Bureau Status in March 2004. Lyn’s other roles also encompass all areas of personnel and health and safety. In her spare time Lyn is an active
member of the local community, being Chairman of the Parish Council. She
is married with three daughters. |
