RSM2000 Ltd to operate 'Give Change Make Change' Charity Initiative.
From February 2011, people shopping on-line with selected retail partners will be able to round up their purchase amounts and donate their 'spare change' to four major UK charities.

RSM2000 Ltd has recently been awarded the contract to design, build and operate the system which will be used to administer the new charity initiative 'Give Change Make Change'. Drawing on their expertise as a Bacs Bureau, RSM 2000 Ltd will also be responsible for the collection of funds from the retailers and the distribution of said funds to the charities involved.

RSM2000 Ltd, established in 1999 has led the way with the use of new payment technologies to assist the charity sector, helping hundreds of charities with their fundraising and regular collections. This expertise made us the ideal choice to develop and operate such a system. The aim is for it to become second nature for people to 'give change' from their shopping, providing much needed help and support for all the charities involved.

The donations collected by Give Change
Make Change are split between the four charities:
* British Red Cross.
* Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
* World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
* Cancer Research UK.
* Retailer nominated charity

Each retailer has the opportunity to add an additional charity if they wish, to the list of charities supported, so their customers' donations will be divided between their nominated charity and the 4 major charities supporting the scheme.

The initiative is available to all on-line retailers, but it is already being developed for the high street retailers for billing solutions, enabling customers to have bills such as their utility or phone bill rounded up to the nearest pound.
